Big hand-crafted bowls, they’re just something more...

Below is the original dialogue for a video that went mega-viral on all my platforms, explaining just how valuable the craftsmanship and energy of hand-crafted bowls are compared to the ones you'll find in stores for a lot less.
Just something more...
Have you ever wondered why a $40 ceramic bowl from the store just feels so different than a ceramic bowl that’s handmade and costs several hundred?
Why a mass-produced bowl made on a conveyor belt just feels so different than a bowl made like this?
I’ll tell you why… Bowls from the store don’t have the creator’s soul built into them. They don’t have their heart.
It’s the palpable difference of machines doing the work and a human doing the work.
It’s the difference between perfection and imperfection. When machines make pottery, the bowls are perfect.
When a human makes pottery, there are always imperfections. And it’s through those imperfections that the owner connects to the creator.
It’s also the seamless harmony a human potter must have with the four major elements to get their pottery to completion. They must maintain that perfect balance between Earth, Water, Air, and Fire.
If the elements aren’t in perfect harmony, the pottery will fail. Every. Single. Time.
It takes a machine seconds to create a bowl. It takes a human weeks of meticulous TLC.
Humans who make pottery also must make a real human connection to other real humans to find an owner for their creations. Manufacturers just have to send ‘em on into the supply chain.
This is why handmade pottery is so powerful. This is why it brings such incredible feelings into your space. This is why just having it in your existence trickles a more balanced and commanding energy into your life every time you touch it, or look at it, or hold it.
Pottery literally becomes stone when it’s finished. And that means the heart and soul of the potter becomes set in stone and stays with the pottery no matter how much time passes or how many hands it passes through.
Handmade pottery, these big hand-crafted bowls, they’re just something more. A lot more. You’re paying a premium price to the creator to bring that energy into your space for the rest of your life. A well-made bowl will last for life, after all. And doesn’t all that just make them a lot more special?
